Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon, together with State Secretary Samuel Žbogar, welcomed the Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture of India, Meenakshi Lekhi.
Minister Fajon and Minister of State Lekhi reaffirmed the positive and friendly relations between their two countries which last year celebrated the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations. They were also pleased to note the enhanced cooperation between the Bled Strategic Forum and the Indian Observer Research Foundation (ORF), advocating further strengthening of cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, the economy, education, science and technology, renewable energy and youth engagement.
Later on, State Secretary Žbogar and Minister of State Lekhi exchanged views on current issues in the international community, including the United Nations reform. The topics discussed included India’s G20 Presidency and the main objectives India is pursuing in this context.
